| The
North Wales village of Rhyd y Foel can be found about a mile inland from junction
23 of the A55 coast road. It lies in a valley and is dominated by the bronze
age hillfort of Pen y Corddyn which was also home to the Romans. The Methodist
movement flourished here and the Salem chapel stands witness to this and as a
consequence the village has never had a public house. | | | |
